If This Then That

A friend of mine showed me an interesting web tool. It’s called “If This Then That.” With this service, a user can create tasks that “make the internet work for you,” according to their website. You basically make If–>Then statements using their very simple layout. It has interesting potential. In fact, my first real use of this service is through this post.

I’ve created a task that generally says “If I make a post on my blog, Then make a quick note of it on my Facebook account.” Get the idea?

There are several services connected to this program, including: Facebook, WordPress, Twitter, Instagram, Craigslist, Gmail and plenty others. They also give you access to your phone and text services. You can even set up tasks according to weather and time. The possibilities really become endless when you start to mix and match.

It’s a simple interface and neat idea. Check it out here.
