Playing Around With iBooks Author
Thought I’d make a quick post and share yet another little program I’m starting to play around with. I finally downloaded Apple’s own, iBooks Author. I have to say, after just a few minutes, I am impressed. It will be interesting to see if my impression holds up after I start to dig a little deeper into the features. I’m not sure if I’ll post a review about it later or not. For those interested, let me know if you want to know more. I’ll be glad to oblige.
I do know that when I start to play around with any new software like this, I do feel the not-so-gentle tugging of creating something new. I look forward to see where this might lead…
Great Contest at 411 For Fathers
![]()
Hey all. There’s a great contest going on at 411ForFathers.com right now. “Dad Contest- The Strangest Thing I’ve Had To Say…” This is a great opportunity to share some of the humor and weirdness you’ve experienced that comes from parenting. Some of the comments are hilarious, I highly recommend. Examples include:
“No more putting sunscreen on before bedtime.”
“We don’t use orange room spray instead of soap.”
I had to tell my son (2 at the time) not to put his grilled cheese sandwich in the VCR
UPDATE: The first contest is over, but there’s another already up! If you’re looking for a decent chance at some neat prizes, check it out. That they post some articles of mine is simply a bonus…
New Freelance Writing Project
I am thrilled to announce that I will be writing some articles for a new site: 411ForFathers.com. If you’re a dad and need a little advice or support from other fathers, this is going to be an excellent resource for you. Considered a “Lost manual for dads,” this up-and-coming site hopes to create an online community of fathers who simply want to be the best dad they can be. I think that’s something we can all support.
I feel so good about this site that I’m putting it in my links section. If there are any featured articles, contests or news, I will mention them here as well. Let me know if you stopped by. I would love to hear what you think!
